A large following does not automatically make someone the right voice for a complex business purchase. The more useful question is whether that person can help your buyer understand a problem and evaluate a possible solution.
Define the buying question
Choose a question a potential customer needs to resolve. For a software company, this might concern implementation rather than a general list of features. For a specialist service, it might concern the trade-offs between different approaches. A creator who can explain those choices has a clearer role than someone hired simply to repeat your sales language.
Assess previous work for accuracy, relevance and the quality of discussion it creates. Check whether the audience includes people involved in the buying decision. Follower totals are a starting observation, not a substitute for that review.
Preserve the reason people listen
Give the creator an accurate brief, access to the right information and room to explain the subject in their own voice. Agree how factual claims, corrections and paid partnership disclosures will be handled. A scripted endorsement can remove the independent judgement that made the voice valuable in the first place.
Define usage rights and approval responsibilities before production. Consider whether a thoughtful discussion, demonstration or practical comparison would help more than a polished promotional clip. The format should follow the customer’s question.
Connect attention with a useful next step
The destination should continue the subject of the content. Someone exploring implementation needs relevant information, not a generic page that asks them to begin again. Assess useful enquiries and the questions that follow, alongside reach and engagement.
A contained first collaboration can reveal whether the partnership makes the offer easier to understand. Decide what you need to learn and when you will review it before scaling the activity.
