Marketing & Advertising

Before you buy more advertising, check what happens after the click

More traffic will not explain an unclear offer or rescue a missed enquiry. Review the entire route from ad to sales conversation before increasing spend.

When a campaign disappoints, buying more reach is an easy move. It is also an expensive way to avoid asking where the problem sits. Before increasing spend, walk through the experience you are paying people to enter.

Trace one real offer all the way through

Pick a campaign and record the audience, the advertisement, the destination page and the requested action. Then include the steps that happen inside the business after someone responds.

Look for changes in the promise. An ad might promote a defined package while the destination describes general consulting. A form might suggest an immediate booking while the team treats it as a request requiring review. Each mismatch creates a question somebody has to resolve.

Separate delivery problems from offer problems

Check whether the intended people are seeing the campaign. Then check whether the message gives them a relevant reason to act. These are different questions.

A well-targeted campaign can still present an unconvincing offer. An appealing offer can reach the wrong audience. Review the creative, audience and destination together before deciding that one channel has failed.

Check the handover to a human

Submit a clearly labelled internal test enquiry. Verify that it reaches the correct inbox, that someone owns it and that the confirmation describes the next step accurately.

Agree how the team records outcomes. “Form submitted” and “suitable customer” are separate milestones. If reporting stops at submissions, you may miss what happens to the people you have already paid to attract.

Build a useful diagnosis

Compare patterns rather than isolated numbers. Many clicks and few enquiries suggest a different investigation from plenty of enquiries that never fit the service. Review source, device, offer and feedback from the people handling responses.

Do not assume a small sample has proved the answer. Write down the question, the change you intend to make and what evidence would support keeping it. Avoid changing the audience, message and page simultaneously if you need to understand which adjustment mattered.

Give someone responsibility for the whole route

Advertising, design, development and sales may belong to different teams. Someone still needs to connect their decisions. Agree who can resolve gaps and which outcomes the teams will review together.

Our digital marketing experience dates back to 1994. At CoreCreative, we bring that perspective to assignments spanning global and local websites, connecting campaign planning with creative, landing pages and delivery.
